OTM boss Clive Beattie accesses latest shares allocation worth £92,000
Shares are part of his employee share option package although he also holds other shares worth over £900,000, the portal says.

Clive Beattie, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of portal OnTheMarket (OTM) is now able to cash in shares worth £92,000 granted to him as part of its employee share option plan.
Beattie, who within the company’s most recent reported year of operation earned £255,000 in salary, also has additional vested share options and existing shares worth approximately £200,000 and unvested options worth a further £725,000.
These figures are based on the portal’s current share price of £1.08p which, should the company’s share performance improve in the coming months and years, give Beattie a considerable payday further down the line.
The 85,000 shares now available to Beattie as part of the employee share scheme mean the portal now has an issued share capital of nearly 75.5 million ordinary shares, valuing the company by this measure at £81 million.
Shock departure
Beattie joined the portal in 2013 and for three years was its Chief Financial Officer before taking on the role of acting CEO after the shock departure of founding CEO Ian Springett in March 2020, just days before the Covid pandemic struck.
Beattie then stepped aside to become CFO once more after the arrival of Jason Tebb in December 2020.
As we reported, Tebb was given a ‘golden hello’ by the portal which included share options that at the time were worth £531,000.
Before arriving at OTM, Beattie was the CEO of security screening tech firm ThruVision and before that an executive director of UBS Investment Bank.
