Propertymark members can now access free basic material information reports through property data and intelligence platform Propalt.

It comes after the estate agency trade body secured a partnership through its Propertymark Connect referral and lead generation platform.

Propertymark Connect lets agents send and receive referrals, valuation requests and instructions through a trusted network of qualified property professionals.

Agents can generate and receive referrals through Connect while accessing property intelligence that can help them demonstrate their expertise.”

It is designed to ensure that when a client moves outside an agent’s patch, the business opportunity does not have to be lost. Agents can refer buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants to another trusted Propertymark professional, while also receiving new leads and valuation opportunities.

As part of the new partnership, Propalt has been integrated into Propertymark Connect, generating dynamic property reports that combine detailed property information with local market insight.

Agents who have sent a referral through Propertymark Connect can access a free basic Propalt material information report, providing a useful starting point when preparing for a valuation, speaking to a potential vendor or helping a consumer understand a property.

The information available through Propalt can include key details relevant to material information, such as property characteristics and construction, historical property information, EPC data, planning information and other property and risk-related data.

Propalt says its wider property intelligence platform brings together more than one million property data points and consolidates information from multiple sources into a single platform.

For agents, it means potentially less time spent searching across different sources and more time using property intelligence to have informed conversations with clients.

The reports can also help agents demonstrate their expertise when competing for instructions. Rather than simply providing a valuation figure, agents can use property and local-market information to give vendors a broader picture of their home and the market in which it sits.

Another layer of value

Kieran Slinger, Co-founder of Propalt, says: “We built Propalt because the property industry has access to huge amounts of valuable data, but too often the information an agent needs is spread across different systems or takes too long to find. Partnering with Propertymark Connect gives agents a much simpler way to put that intelligence to work at the point it matters.

“We’re particularly pleased to offer basic material information reports to agents who generate referrals through Connect. It means the referral itself can lead to a tangible benefit for the agent, while giving them useful information they can take into their conversations with buyers and sellers.”

Jason Lee, Head of Commercial at Propertymark, adds: “Propertymark Connect is about helping our members create and retain more business through a trusted professional network. The response since launch has been extremely encouraging, with thousands of agents already registered and consumers generating opportunities for our members.

“Our partnership with Propalt adds another layer of value. Agents can generate and receive referrals through Connect while accessing property intelligence that can help them demonstrate their expertise and deliver a better service to consumers. It is exactly the kind of practical partnership we want to build around Connect, technology that helps agents win more business and provide a stronger customer experience.”
