Home Telecom boosts tenant broadband supply

July was a bumper month for Home Telecom, securing 3,800 new broadband customers, including many tenants thanks to support from the letting industry.

As a result of its partnerships with UK letting agents and referencing companies, Home Telecom significantly boosted its tenant broadband customers last month, with 45% (1,700) also choosing to take out a new energy supply.

Home Telecom has been servicing a niche within the rented property arena for the past thirteen years, and the record month follows the firm securing an additional lettings partnership in late June of this year.

Flexible connectivity

The brand is able to offer flexible “tenant” based contracts, along with an array of network choices, and is also finding a new solution with landlords, whereby the landlord can promote rental properties as being “Full Fibre ready”.

Nigel Barnett, CEO of Home Telecom, said: “There’s no doubt, it’s thanks to the hard work of our incredible teams and our letting partners, that we’ve been able to add this many organic customers in one month, in an industry that has never seen this level of competition.

“Being able to communicate with thousands of new tenants every month is a strong driver, but being able to offer the right package for consumers is key. We’ve always supported the letting industry by providing flexible contracts that allow customers to get fast broadband when they move in, but more importantly, a contract that ends when they move out, including six-month agreements.

“I’m excited to bring continued growth and success within our niche and we hope to announce two additional partnerships by the end of the year.”
