Estate agents help proptech ‘disrupter’ hit 40,000 survey reports
The RICS-endorsed survey portal has completed reports on homes with a value of more than £12bn across England and Wales.
Proptech portal HouzeCheck has completed its 40,000th property survey since it launched seven years ago.
The RICS-endorsed surveying portal has therefore completed surveys on properties with a combined value of more than £12 billion across England and Wales, the firm says.
HouzeCheck works with approximately 150 fully accredited members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and offers RICS Level 2 Homebuyer Surveys, RICS Level 3 Building Surveys, and property valuations.
The majority of the 40,000 surveys completed have been RICS Level 2 homebuyer surveys – approximately 34,000 surveys. They have also completed about 4,000 RICS Level 3 building surveys and around 2,000 property valuations.
Industry introductions
HouzeCheck says the surveys have been introduced by estate agents, mortgage brokers, conveyancers, and direct from its website.

Richard Sexton, Commercial Director of HouzeCheck, said: “Thanks to our estate agent, mortgage broker, and conveyancer introducers, HouzeCheck has now completed 40,000 surveys on behalf of homebuyers.
“The quality of the HouzeCheck reports is unquestionably high, too: we are proud that HouzeCheck has never had a PI claim made against it, thanks to our rigorous audit programme and our bespoke tech which prompts surveyors to report accurately and consistently – for example, by offering suggestions linked to their inputs.
“And given we’re deliver a market-leading turnaround to our customer – our average report time is typically between 2¾ and 3 days – we are helping to drive transactions forward, as well.
“Buyers who have commissioned a survey from us are less likely to pull out once they have sunk that cost and will use the report to negotiate as needed to conclude the transaction with increased certainty.”
