Thirdfort buys tenant referencing platform

Client due diligence provider, Thirdfort, continues with its mission to offer a unified platform with the acquisition of Homeppl’s rental check tool.

Used by 1,500+ regulated businesses, including more than 230 estate agents, Thirdfort can now provide tenant checks and protect clients from fraud in the lettings market as it edges closer to succreding its vision of make client due diligence simple and secure for legal, property, and accounting professionals.

Homeppl’s tenant checks use technology to identify fraudulent tenant applications before they become costly, whilst making previously invisible rental applicants, such as internationals, students, and individuals with thin UK credit files, fully and easily accessible.

Each tenant goes through more than 150 fraud tests, including email tracking, reaction tests, data enrichment, font detection, and authority and integrity tests.

Future integration

Initially, the rental check platform will operate as Homeppl by Thirdfort before being fully integrated into its end-to-end client due diligence platform.

The remaining Homeppl business will rebrand to Fraud Finder to focus on AI document analysis while continuing to power the document analysis algorithm that supports Homeppl and Thirdfort’s tenant check process.
