AI tenant referencing assistant launched by HomeLet and Let Alliance
HomeLet and Let Alliance claims that it is building a tenant referencing system that doesn’t sleep.

An AI referencing assistant for tenants has been launched by HomeLet and Let Alliance.
The AI assistant will handle routine tenant referencing queries, with the aim of reducing pressure on letting agents.
The assistant is called RefBot and aims to help with around one million tenant references processed each year by the two companies.
RefBot operates around the clock, meaning that it can help tenants who cannot easily make a call during the working day, such as those who work shifts.

Rebecca Baker, Head of Customer Operations, of HomeLet and Let Alliance, says: “We are building to the point of a referencing system that doesn’t sleep.
“Tenants are telling us they want this, and since launch thousands have chosen to use the AI options available instead of talking to a human.
“It gives tenants instant answers to straightforward questions, at a time that works for them, and it takes a huge amount of repeat noise away from letting agents and our own teams.
“With the volume of tenants a provider of our size references a year, even modest gains in speed and clarity have a real impact for agents, landlords and tenants.”
We are building to the point of a referencing system that doesn’t sleep.”
Tenants retain the choice of how to interact, be it through the voice bot, WhatsApp, their tenant portal or directly with a member of the HomeLet team if preferred.
Tenants can also switch between the communication routes as their needs change.
A team of 300 staff remain available alongside the AI system for cases that require human judgement.
RefBot forms part of HomeLet and Let Alliance’s wider AI technology roadmap, which includes fraud document detection AI built into its VISTA tenant referencing product.
