Surveyor says new book will arm buyers with inside advice when dealing with estate agents
Robert Desbruslais, who runs a leading surveying firm covering London and the SE, says his book will arm buyers of all ages with inside information on moving home.
A housing surveyor has used his experience in the property sector to pen a book helping buyers navigate the pitfalls of moving home.
Robert Desbruslais wrote Sold!: How to Buy and Sell a Home, and everything in Between in the down-time when running his own practice, and says it provides pragmatic advice and top hacks guaranteed to smooth the way for a successful sale or purchase.
Intended as a guide to simplify and understand the house buying process, it’s for both first-time buyers as well as homeowners who are considering moving for the first time in years.
Desbruslais has talked to thousands of people during his 30 years in the industry, from young buyers of modest studios to agents and solicitors representing the super-rich purchasing multi-million-pound estates and recounts some of these experiences in print.
Gazundering
“For the uninitiated, and those that are home moving after many years in their home, the world of covenants, conveyancing, gazumping, gazundering and more is a daunting prospect,” he explains.
The new author aims to demystify the jargon and make one of the most stressful events in someone’s life, more stress-free.
He adds: “The book is a light-hearted and a simple walk through the process of buying and selling a home for those unfamiliar with the process and anxious to take the leap. It summarises all the crucial steps from first deciding if you want to buy at all, to walking across the threshold of your new home.”
Sold! is available in paperback (£9.99) and Kindle (£3.79) on Amazon at https://amzn.to/3pWfc4k and https://amzn.to/3FYi8TN respectively.
