MBO at Paul Carr Estate Agents sees founder depart after 42 years

The management team at Midlands-based agency Paul Carr Estate Agents has led a buyout as proprietor Paul Carr steps down.

Managing director David Alexander led the buyout, aided by his new board of directors; area manager Chris Wragg, head office manager Daniel Cohen and Emma Besant. All are invested in securing the future success of the business.

The deal was supported by accountancy firm BK Plus.

david alexanderDavid Alexander (pictured) says: “I am hugely excited for what the future holds for this business. Having been emotionally invested for such a long time, it was a natural progression to take on this role as Paul Carr himself chooses to step down.

“Embarking on an MBO was quite daunting, having BK Plus there to advise us every step of the way was the reassurance that we need. Part of this process was to look at the plans growth plans which leads us into very exciting times ahead.”

Alexander has been employed by Paul Carr Estate Agents for more than 10 years and worked in the industry the industry for more than 35 years.

Paul Carr Estate Agents was established in 1980 and operates one of the largest independent property services businesses in the West Midlands.

It has 14 offices employing 95 people across the region covering North Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, South Staffordshire and North Warwickshire.
