Tom Smith House Group lettings launchThe House Group agency network, which has an expanding presence across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Hampshire, has launched a dedicated lettings service, appointing Tom Smith (main picture) as Lettings Manager to lead it.

Having already broadened its service offer to include property auctions, the lettings launch is the next deliberate step in the company’s growth strategy.

Smith brings more than 15 years of residential lettings and property management experience across Swindon and the wider area, and has worked with landlords, tenants and investors at every level, building a strong local reputation for being proactive, transparent and genuinely client-focused.

People focussed

Smith commented: “Throughout my career I’ve always believed that people work with people. It’s never been about ticking boxes – it’s about honest conversations, genuine relationships and being there when clients actually need you.

What convinced me to build something new was the realisation that the high pressure, transactional model was finished.”

The House Group has a modern approach, good people and a real focus on service. It felt like the right home. I’m looking forward to growing this and restoring confidence in the industry.”

Ross Sutton, Director and Founder of The House Group, added: “I started in this industry 25 years ago in the village where I grew up. I’ve seen every version of agency there is. What convinced me to build something new was the realisation that the high pressure, transactional model was finished. Clients are too savvy for it.

“The best agents don’t want to work that way. We’ve built something that trusts people to do the right thing – and lettings is the next expression of that.”

The lettings service launches with three tiers – Introduction Only, Rent Collection and Full Management – underpinned by PayProp for client accounting and designed from the ground up for compliance with the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.
