No disputing it – deposit service ranked one of best employers

The Dispute Service has been ranked number three in the UK’s Best 10 Not for Profit companies to work for in the Best Companies Awards 2021.

The organisation, which provides a range of tenancy deposit and dispute handling services through schemes in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, was recognised as an outstanding place to work following an assessment of feedback from staff.

“We are incredibly proud of how well they have all done in such unusual and challenging circumstances.”

Despite the difficulties faced by landlords, tenants and the sector as a whole of the last 12 months, especially surrounding rent arrears, service levels at the Tenancy Deposit Scheme remained constant as the group organisations ramped up efforts to continue supporting the Private Rented Sector (PRS) remotely.

Steve Harriott said, “The customer service team didn’t stop providing support to our customers throughout 2020-21. They suffered no downtime at all, and this is testament to their incredible resilience and that of our organisation. While they were pulling out all the stops to help our customers, we were doing all we could to support them in their work set-up.”

In addition to winning this accolade, the Dispute Service was also ranked in the Top 75 Companies in the East of England and Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies in the UK.

“Of all the awards, this one means so much because it comes directly from our teams across the UK. A happy workplace equates to great service. Our customers continuously feedback how friendly our staff are; that level of service can only come from people who genuinely enjoy their job. To be voted number 3 in the Not-for-Profit list is a stunning achievement,” added Steve.
