Rightmove challenger OneDome has landed a coup after hiring a well-known marketing chief from website MoneySuperMarket.com to add weight to its management team.

Paul Troy, who is credited with cooking up the financial product comparison website’s ‘You’re so MoneySuperMarket’ tagline, has joined OneDome as its Chief Marketing Officer and brings with him 20 years’ experience in the marketing industry including spells at Barclaycard, insurance website Confused.com and Experian.

While at Barclaycard, Troy was responsible for overseeing the development of the bank’s ‘waterslide’ TV ad campaign and an iPhone app that became the most-downloaded branded free apps ever.

“I’m very excited to join OneDome at this critical stage of the business,” says Troy. “Having met Babek and the team, I was impressed by their goals and mission as well as the energy of the team behind it. I’m looking forward to delivering great things for the business.”

Digital duo

The proptech firm has also hired another marketing heavyweight, Jon Bishop, who has a strong track record in big digital companies including roles at eBay, PayPal and Funding Circle.

“OneDome has created an incredible suite of tools to help estate agents, conveyancers, and mortgage advisors better serve their customers,” says Bishop.

“I’m excited to be joining this dynamic team and helping OneDome double-down on their value offering to their B2B partners by bringing them high-quality, engaged customers that are ready to buy or sell a home.”

OneDome has raised £9 million so far from investors since it was launched by JP Morgan trader Babek Ismayil in 2016.
