Rightmove seeks to integrate its tech further into the letting process

Portal is to offer 'five step' tech offering that moves its services into more areas than just marketing a rented a property.

Rightmove has announced plans to get more involved in lettings agency’s operations in a bid to make them more efficient and successful, a move that some may view with some nervousness.

The portal’s new vision for its lettings service is a five-step plan that links each step of the journey, from sending a lead to collecting the keys.

Agents can choose to use one or all of the features if they think it will help their business.

“Our vision is that our customers can choose to receive pre-qualified tenancy leads. Agents can then allow selected pre-qualified tenants to book an appointment online via Viewings Manager,” says Balshen.

In the next three months, it will start to integrate this with the leading CRMs so that an agent can book a reference in one click. It will then provide the platform to help agents onboard tenants efficiently.

Qualified leads

“Our solution isn’t to start with fewer leads and reduce the choice of tenants, it’s to provide a high number of qualified leads and maximise the opportunity to find the most suitable tenant for each property. Our next job is to help agents deal with these leads efficiently,” he adds.

“This new approach is yet another step forward in helping lettings agents to continue to be as successful as possible.”

Rightmove is asking agents for feedback on its Rent in Five plan. Contact Balshen at [email protected].
