Agent shopfitter specialist, Excite Interiors demonstrates an amazing conversion of an industrial unit to contemporary office accommodation.

THE BRIEF

Shop fit-out company, Excite Interiors (Xeyet Limited), were asked by their client, HES Estate Management Limited, to provide a contemporary design solution for this premises conversion from industrial unit to prestige offices for directors and staff of 22 with boardroom, meeting room, kitchen with break out area, and facilities.

A meeting with the client and a full site and photographic survey identified that the building shell was all that would remain once stripped out and that the front elevation needed removal of the wooden garage doors and a new glazed entrance to be formed.

HOW THEY DID IT

Excite Interiors produced a full 3D interior and exterior design scheme. Subsequent full working drawings for the building team and data/power drawings for electricians, heating and ventilation engineers, plumbers, flooring, and ceiling contractors were provided.

The exterior of the premises were to be decorated with new signage to promote the brand. Little internally was retained. Wall coverings and decoration were specified as was the ceiling, flooring, lighting scheme, internal doors, air-conditioning, kitchen, and all fitments including a boiling tap, flooring, the list is endless.

Wire-managed Grey Nebraska Oak bench desks and directors’ pod, all with sound absorbing system screens for mounting computer monitors, were recommended. This complemented by maximum file storage. Three meeting areas were specified with full furnishings and media screens.

The client was even invited to view the various design elements in London showrooms which provided both comfort and acceptance of the integrity of the individual products within the design scheme.

The design scheme was accepted, and the order placed with Excite Interiors for full implementation.

IMPLEMENTATION

The project was completed within budget much during the Covid-19 lockdown thanks to comprehensive planning, programming, and management of the works.
