Industry giant TPFG, which operates multiple brands including Hunters, Ewemove and Martin & Co, has published its latest results revealing that it is now the second largest high street estate agency in the UK after Connells/Countrywide, now operating 597 branches helped by its fast-growing hybrid operation Ewemove and the recent purchase of Hunters.

The group has also revealed bumper results for 2021 including group revenue up by 119%.

Its figures, which include a like-for-like revenue increase of 23% compared to 2019 and a huge leap in the number of branches it operates, are in stark contrast to yesterday’s Purplebricks results which revealed all but one of its performance figures in the red.

‘Outstanding’ Ewemove

Ewemove had an ‘outstanding’ period last year as many agents and non-agents chased the self-employed dream during the pandemic, adding 58 franchises compared to 11 the year before and putting the hybrid agency well on its way to achieve its ambitious goal of 230 by the end of this year.

This means, along with the Hunters offices added in March at a cost of £24 million, TPFG now operates just shy of 600 branches, which includes the 167 Ewemove franchised territories.

TPFG says its franchisees also report a strong sales pipeline at £26.5 million as at 31st December 2021, and 74,000 rental properties under management.

Link to Franchising feature“The Board and I are delighted to report that the excellent trading momentum seen in the first six months of 2021 continued in the second half,” says CEO Gareth Samples (pictured).

“We have built a fantastic senior management team across the Group with an incredible combined knowledge and experience of the market.

“The value of their guidance and support can be seen reflected in the fact that we are seeing more and more people interested in joining our franchise network, as well as existing franchisees wishing to expand their representation.”
