Hortons says large new premises reflect its growing status as a regional estate agency and plans to become national.

Regional hybrid estate agency Hortons has secured a new base for its HQ in Leicester as it works towards its target of becoming a national firm.

The move follows a string of new appointments for the estate agency including well-known local estate agents, as well as the launch of a new website and a 135% increase in revenues during the last year, which has led to it becoming a major player in the region.

Since opening in 2013, Hortons now covers Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, providing clients with their own personal estate agent.

CEO Adam Horton says it will keep its current base in Loughborough while the new head office will house a growing support team – which works with its network of agents – as well as helping to develop its in-house marketing.

“Space to continue to grow our support team is important for our ability to continue to offer a high level of service, but also allows us to recruit more agents and expand our presence across the East and West Midlands,” says Horton.

“It is another step for us to help achieve our long-term goal of becoming a national firm within the next five to 10 years”

Earlier this year, Horton co-founded online mortgage broker Rippled with financial services adviser Daniel Smalley, which has plans to go national once the platform is established in the East Midlands.

It aims to disrupt the mortgage industry by offering both agents and consumers an alternative to the usual financial services model.

Hortons’ regional director Beth Shaw was one of The Negotiator’s Women in Property Power list 2020.
