Leading independent London estate agency Dexters has added four-branch competitor Conran estates to the group’s existing network of over 70 branches.

Dexters has two models to fuel its ambitious growth plans – opening new offices and also adding existing firms to its portfolio, often retaining their branding and staff.

23-year-old agency Conran, which has offices in Greenwich, Brockley, Charlton and Lee, was established by co-founding Director Oliver Powell (main picture), is the latest and Dexters says the deal will significantly boost its market share in SE London.

Other agencies to join the Dexters family have included Roy Brooks, Douglas Martin, Peter James, Sebastian Roche and online lettings/property management firm Howsy.

“Conran is delighted with the partnership with Dexters which is a highly well-managed and financed group,” says Powell.

“The Dexters brand is respected and trusted by both Londoners and international customers and clients, and matches perfectly the independent thinking and principles we hold so dear at Conran.”

Andy Shepherd, CEO of Dexters (pictured) adds: “London has bounced back from the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to be an attractive investment for local and international clients, and it is important that we continue to expand and thrive, which is why we are delighted to have entered into this new partnership with Conran.

In June 2022, DEXTERS issued its 2021 Report and Accounts which showed a 32% rise in revenue to £143.3 million (2020: £108.7m) and a 75% increase in operating profit to £40.6 million (2020: £23.2m).
