Countrywide management appointments
Countrywide has made a series of Managing Director and Director appointments to its UK retail team and London business unit as part of its ‘Building our Future’ strategy.
Countrywide says that ‘Building our Future’ involves “a restructuring of the business, driving greater emphasis on customer focus and organic growth by leveraging our combined sales and lettings offering through one cohesive Retail team. Our restructure is a key element of the plan to double the size of the Group over the coming five years.”
To create a One Countrywide Retail team Sam Tyrer, Managing Director for Retail, has appointed three Divisional Managing Directors, bringing together the two businesses. Three further key appointments have been created, Retail Commercial Director, Retail Programme Director and Retail Performance Director, reporting to Sam.
12 Retail Directors have been appointed for the North, Midlands and South, reporting into the three Divisional Managing Directors.
Michael Luck and Jonathan Simpson have been appointed as Divisional Managing Directors for the North and Midlands respectively. A Divisional Managing Director for the South will be announced in the near future. Completing the Retail team, Bruce Evans has been appointed Retail Commercial Director; Margaret Longden as Retail Programme Director and Pete Wallace as Retail Performance Director.
In Countrywide’s London business unit, which comprises 413 sales and letting operations trading in 264 branch locations under the overall leadership of London Managing Director Graham Bell, four Managing Director roles have been created to cover all market segments. As with the wider UK Retail Division, these newly appointed Managing Directors will have responsibility for both sales and lettings. Lee Wainwright, Phil Tennant and Ben Taylor, are Managing Directors to the London business unit. A Managing Director of Hamptons International will be appointed in due course.
The new roles are effective from 1st November 2015. Vince Corley has been promoted to Financial Services Sales Director within Financial Services while Carl Parker has stepped down from his position within that unit.
Alison Platt, CEO of Countrywide, said, “Today’s appointments mark another step forward for Countrywide as we build for our future. We have recognised the importance of ensuring the entire company is working together and by putting this regional and divisional structure in place, including bringing together responsibility for sales and lettings at a regional and local level for the first time, we believe we will be able to better serve our customers and deliver greater organic growth. It is particularly pleasing that we have retained and been able to promote such great Countrywide talent internally and I take this opportunity to congratulate all of our new Managing Directors and Regional Directors. I look forward to working with them at this exciting time in Countrywide’s evolution.”
