eXp picks up three Purplebricks seniors as agency continues quest for dominance
eXp UK boss Adam Day has poached three Purplebricks Divisional Sales Directors (DSD) including Ross Walker from Scotland and a host of agents.

eXp UK boss Adam Day is holding true to his recent promise to grab more market share in 2023 after poaching three Purplebricks Divisional Sales Directors (DSD) including Ross Walker from Scotland.
The company now has over 350 estate agents across the UK using the eXp UK platform to market and run their businesses after launching in November 2019.
While the majority of eXp UK’s business has been in England and Wales this latest push into Scotland is part of a bigger plan with sites firmly set on Northern Ireland too as it attempts to woo agents to sign up to its self-employed model.
PURPLEBRICKS
Walker was with Purplebricks for over four years, first as an LPE then as a DSD and is joined by James Hummerstone-Pope and Scott Morland who have also jumped ship from the ailing online agency.
Hummerstone-Pope is a five-year veteran and former DSD from Margate, Kent and Scott has five years under his belt as a Purplebricks DSD in Hayes, Middlesex.
Alongside Ross, a further three agents have joined in and around the Fife area, including Mark MacDonald, Angela Shanks and Brad Saxton. Stephen Sarsfield has also joined the estate agency network operating in and around the Glasgow area.
Our growth across the UK since we launched a few short years ago has been pretty relentless.”
Adam Day (main picture), International Expansion Leader for eXp UK, says: “Our growth across the UK since we launched a few short years ago has been pretty relentless.
“In order to achieve our next level of success I am keen to further expand within Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as England and to demonstrate our acknowledgement that UK regions vary in their approach to selling property.”
BRUTAL
Day was brutal in his assessment of the opportunities 2023 would bring during a fireside-style chat amongst his peers last November.
As The Neg reported on Monday he told the gathered Great and The Good of the Property Indiustry: “Opportunities are attacking poorer agents and taking stock off them. There are going to be weaker agents out there and that’s the opportunity.”
