Hats off for Parkinsons

Three-branch estate agency, Hat and Home, has raised £29,000 for Parkinson’s UK.
Since the Berkshire-based company was launched in 2021 staff, friends and family have taken part in a series of events including a skydive, running the London Marathon (twice), the Three Peaks Challenge, and a sponsored abseil down Guildford Cathedral. These are just a selection of some of the twenty activities completed, with the most recent being a ten-hour ‘run-a-thon’ dressed in inflatable Christmas outfits just before the end of last year.
Hat and Home’s partnership with Parkinson’s UK was formed when the estate agency’s founder Ben Gee was diagnosed with the condition in 2020 at the age of 41.
Ben Gee, commented: “I have experienced first-hand the support which Parkinson’s UK provides to people living with Parkinson’s and their families. The charity provides vital funds for research, education and awareness, relying solely on donations to carry out their vital work.”
Paul Jackson-Clark, Director of Fundraising & Engagement, Parkinson’s UK, said: “On behalf of all of us here at Parkinson’s UK and those who are living with the condition, I want to say thank you to Ben, his family, and Hat and Home for their continued support of Parkinson’s UK.”
Hat and Home now plan to raise a further £30,000 in 2023 as part of their ambition to exceed £200,000 over five years.
