How much is your lettings business worth? New tool reveals all
Leading business broker Adam Walker and Richard Combellack of Nurtur have developed a valuation device for lettings firms.

A tech tool which can be used to value lettings businesses is being launched to market this week.
The tool offers “unprecedented accuracy” according to proptech firm Nurtur and buyout specialists Adam J Walker Associates, which have developed the technology.
They say the tool, which took nine months to produce, fills a gap in the market, and gives business owners and buyers a simple way to produce a price.
Avoids guesswork
It avoids the need for ‘generic estimators’, hearsay or guesswork when making decisions about selling or acquiring a business.
People are making decisions that affect their future, their families and their livelihoods.”
Adam Walker, MD at Adam J Walker & Associates (main picture, left) says. “We knew that valuations had to be more than ballpark figures, people are making decisions that affect their future, their families, and their livelihoods.
“That’s why we approached Nurtur to help us build a robust, data-driven tool that could provide letting agency owners with the clarity and confidence they deserve.”
Nurtur spent eight months building a bespoke programme, thoroughly tested using real transactions provided by Adam Walker’s database.
Within 10%
Multiple ‘back-tested’ examples saw the tool predict a valuation within 10% of the final price of businesses that sold for between £1.1 million and £8.7 million.
Richard Combellack, Chief Commercial Officer at Nurtur (main picture, right) says: “In the property sector, accurate business valuations are vital to ensure agencies can make confident, data-driven decisions.
“Together with Adam Walker, we’ve set a new benchmark for business valuation in the lettings space.”
