Property agents go the distance in Welsh dragon relay
Fine & Country’s Welsh property agents are embarking on a coast-to-coast fundraising challenge in support of its charitable foundation.
The Welsh network of Fine & Country offices is set to embark on a unique fundraising challenge this month as property agents unite to support The Fine & Country Foundation.
Dubbed the “dragon relay”, the campaign will see a red dragon mascot travel from North Wales to South Wales, passing between offices without the use of cars. Teams will instead rely on creative and environmentally friendly methods, including hiking, canoeing and other inventive approaches, to complete each leg of the journey.
The relay begins in Llandudno and will finish in Tenby, stopping at multiple Fine & Country offices along the way. Each office will host the dragon for two days, raising funds before delivering it on to the next location.
Friendly competition
The initiative is already prompting friendly competition between offices, with teams planning imaginative ways to transport the dragon while generating sponsorship and awareness.
Tom Carter, Director of Fine & Country North Wales, said: “Wales is famous for its dragons, so we thought it was only fitting that ours should go on a journey across the country for a great cause. The relay is a brilliant way to bring our teams together, have some fun and raise as much money as possible for The Fine & Country Foundation.”
Abbie Young, Area Manager at Fine & Country, added: “Each office is already competing to come up with the most creative way of getting the dragon to the next destination. It’s going to be a fantastic mix of teamwork, fundraising and a little bit of Welsh adventure.”

Each participating office will host its own fundraising page, with proceeds going towards the Foundation’s work supporting charities tackling homelessness and poverty.
The relay runs from April 16th to 24th, with organisers aiming to combine community spirit, creativity and fundraising impact across the Welsh property network.
