DM Hall team conquers Three Peaks for charity
Ten colleagues from across DM Hall's residential, commercial and rural teams completed the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours for charity.
Following renewed public interest in the challenge after the Princess of Wales recently completed the Lake District’s Yorkshire Three Peaks route with a Scout group, a team from Scottish property consultancy DM Hall has taken on the UK’s National Three Peaks Challenge, raising more than £7,000 for charity.
Ten colleagues from the company’s residential, commercial and rural divisions successfully climbed Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Wales, Scafell Pike in England, and Ben Nevis in Scotland within 24 hours.
They raised funds for the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RSABI), the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and Homeless Project Scotland.
The team began the challenge in North Wales before travelling to the Lake District and finishing on Ben Nevis, facing strong winds, low cloud and persistent rain for much of the route.
Joining the group was Andrew Sinclair, a Perthshire farmer and trustee of RSABI, while recently qualified surveyor Niall Morrison provided transport and logistical support throughout the challenge.
Fantastic achievement
Donald Yellowley, Rural Partner at DM Hall, says: “Completing the National Three Peaks Challenge was a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.
“The determination and good humour shown throughout the weekend was remarkable and helped carry us through some very tough moments. It was a fantastic way to connect different departments from across Scotland.
“Most importantly, we have been able to raise significant funds for three charities that make a real difference in people’s lives. As a business with deep roots in Scotland’s rural communities, we are particularly proud to support RSABI and the invaluable work it does for those involved in agriculture, crofting and the wider rural sector.
“We would like to thank everyone who donated, encouraged us and followed our progress. Their support made a huge difference.”
Taking part in the challenge alongside the DM Hall team was both inspiring and hugely rewarding.”
Andrew Sinclair adds: “Taking part in the challenge alongside the DM Hall team was both inspiring and hugely rewarding.
“The commitment shown by everyone involved was exceptional and the funds raised will help RSABI continue to provide vital practical, emotional and financial support to people across Scottish agriculture.”
The Three Peaks Challenge is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives undertaken by DM Hall, reflecting the group’s ongoing commitment to supporting charities and local communities across Scotland.
