A complaint regarding negative reviews appearing on allAgents concerning Purplebricks has been rejected by the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority).
An unnamed person alleged the customer review site was soliciting negative reviews via social media for just one agent, and objected to the inclusion of Tweets relating to negative Purplebricks remarks. The complainant questioned allAgent’s ability to advertise itself as ‘independent’.
We’re delighted the ASA rejected the complaint, and that it understands we truly are the UK’s largest independent review website for the property industry.”
In response, allAgents successfully proved to the ASA that it actively invites both positive and negative reviews for a wide range of estate agents, including brands such as Countrywide, Connells and EweMove.
allAgents’ Martin McKenzie explains: “We approach people who Tweet both positive and negative comments on any estate agent, and encourage them to leave a review on allAgents.co.uk. It’s a major marketing tool for us. We’re proud of our independence, we have no commercial arrangements with estate agents for the reviews section of our site, and this shall remain the case. We’re delighted the ASA rejected the complaint, and that it understands we truly are the UK’s largest independent review website for the property industry.”
