Belvoir lettings duo compete on an exhausting new level

Swansea agency pair triumph with a 20km run raising £300 for local charity Faith in Families during the Mumbles Centurion.

The team at Belvoir’s branch covering Swansea, Mumbles, and Sketty has shown no signs of slowing down as co-owner Ben Davies (main picture, right) and Lettings Manager Kirsty MacDonald raced to the finish line in a 20-kilometer charity run during the Mumbles Centurion and raising nearly £300 for a local charity.

Belvoir Swansea, Mumbles, and Sketty took centre stage as one of the primary sponsors of the Mumbles Centurion, a weekend-long extravaganza that pushed athletes to the limit with a 100-kilometer challenge comprising swimming, cycling, and running set against the backdrop of the Gower peninsula.

FAITH IN FAMILIES

MacDonald (main picture, left) says: “It was a fantastic event and a fantastic way to showcase the Gower and raise money for Faith in Families, a local charity which helps to build brighter futures for children and families who are struggling with different challenges.”

In a friendly rivalry, MacDonald managed to outpace Davies this time around, completing the demanding 20-kilometer run from Oxwich to Underhill Park in an impressive 2 hours and 20 minutes. But the competition is far from over as they’re already gearing up for another, even more extensive charity run later this year.

She adds: “Ben and I have done a few charity runs in the past. He beat me in the last one but this time I beat him!

“We are planning another, longer charity run later in the year so that will be our best out of three. And, as we are both quite competitive, I imagine it should be fun!”

GOLD AWARD

Earlier this year Ben and his wife Daisy won the Belvoir Community Champion Gold Award in recognition of their team’s achievements.

The Neg told last week how on top of its regular fundraising activities Belvoir Group has also launched 365 Days of Giving which encourages franchisees and team members from across the country to consider supporting local charities and community activities by volunteering their time.
