Catfest returns with a £250k charity target and signed WHO guitar
Sales trainer and consultant, Julian O’Dell, is hoping to take total funds raised for cancer charities to over £250,000 at this year's Catfest.
Now in its ninth year, Julian O’Dell’s charity festival, Catfest, will return later this month with the hope of taking the total funds raised over the £250,000 mark.
The event, which is named after the sales trainer and consultant’s late wife, Cat, who passed away in 2022, has been a big hit in the property sector and raised a significant amount of money for Action Against Cancer over the years.
Catfest 2024 will again include over ten hours of music, food and drink as well as an auction with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Big prizes from big names
Guitars signed by Roger Daltrey of The Who (main pic with Julian) and the Sex Pistols’ John Lydon will go under the hammer, plus a pair of Bruno Fernandes autographed football boots and a David Silva signed Manchester City shirt. There is also a set of four limited edition art prints by Sir Peter Blake, which he donated himself.
The event, which is already sold out, has been supported by some big property brands and professionals, including Rightmove, Drivers & Norris, Rush Witt & Wilson, The Negotiator and Julian’s own training business, Marvellous Training Solutions.
You can, however, still help Catfest to surpass its fundraising target by way of sponsorship, raffle prize donation or providing or bidding on the auction lots. Please contact Julian on 07718 634235 or email [email protected].
Action Against Cancer is a small charity with low overheads who undertake brilliant research work in establishing new treatments for the disease. As Cat herself explained when addressing the Catfest crowd in 2017: “As cancer patients, we all need hope. Research for cures or better treatment gives us that hope. We are therefore proud to support Action Against Cancer.”
