Charity auction by Andrew Morris

Crest Nicholson charity auction imageAndrew Morris, auctioneer, put his skills to great effect, by selling all 12 lots at The Crest Nicholson Fabulous Grand Pier charity ball, raising £29,000 for Variety, the children’s charity.

The Black Tie event was held on Weston-super-Mare pier with 600 guests – Crest Nicholson staff, suppliers and contractors. The money goes towards buying Sunshine coaches, wheelchairs, specialist and sensory equipment for disabled young people.

The lots included A Trip to London Fashion Week, Tickets to Wimbeldon, a box at Ascot Races and tickets to Manchester United vs Arsenal. Andrew, who has auctioned houses for the past 50 years, said, “It was a fantastic evening and an honour to be asked for the third time by Crest Nicholson to act as auctioneer. The lots were fantastic but the total raised even better, it means a big difference can be made to the everyday lives of children living with disabilities.”

A spokesperson at Crest Nicholson said, “Andrew did a wonderful job, helping to make the evening a huge success.”
