CKD Galbraith triumph at the Lanrick Challenge

CKD Galbraith fundraising imageCKD Galbraith conquered the notoriously difficult Lanrick Challenge and won first place.

Hundreds of competitors took on a number of physically and mentally gruelling race options set in the grounds of Lanrick Estate near Stirling. CKD Galbraith entered two teams of nine members of staff from across their rural, residential, commercial and premium buying divisions.

In the event, the teams tackle the 6k or 12k course, each involving a demanding obstacle course including rope climbs, tunnel crawls and freezing river crossings.

Scott Hall, who organised the firms involvement said, “This is the third year CKD Galbraith have taken part in the challenge and we were delighted to lift the winner’s trophy! In-house competition is strong but we worked extremely well together in our teams and that’s what I think helped us win the 12k race and also complete the 6k race.

“Some team members did particular well with Katie Gibson from the firm’s commercial team finishing as second female overall. We look forward to returning next year to defend our title.”

The funds go to Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) and The Sandpiper Trust, to help provide vital support to rural communities across Scotland.
