As part of the initiative, local schools can apply for up to £1,000 to purchase much-needed sports equipment. These grants are designed to enhance physical education programs and provide students with more opportunities to engage in various sports activities.

Greensted Primary School in Basildon is the first recipient of a grant, receiving a delivery of sports equipment worth up to £750, designed to empower students in their PE classes and support the school’s sports teams.

“The joy on the students’ faces when our Basildon branch team arrived was priceless – it was clear the new equipment would make an impact!,” said branch Manager, Greg Wade.

Giving back

Over the years, Douglas Allen has partnered with both local and national charities, including Barnardo’s, Haven House, St Francis Hospice, and The Children’s Trust. Through various fundraising efforts such as running, swimming, cycling, hosting charity days, and dressing up, the agency has raised over £750,000 across the network with Arun Estates for these worthy causes.
