A team from deposit protection scheme Mydeposits will join a Sleep Out next month, organised by Centrepoint, to help raise awareness of youth homelessness.

The tenancy deposit provider is a Silver Sponsor for the event, which is being held at the iconic Oval cricket ground.

According to Centrepointalmost 136,000 young people faced homelessness last year – a record high. As economic instability continues to affect vulnerable groups, mydeposits is committed to doing its part to combat this issue through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Eddie Hooker, CEO of Mydeposits, commented: “Our participation in Sleep Out 2024, as a Silver Sponsor, is a reflection of mydeposits’ commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. We are proud to align our values with Centrepoint’s mission to end youth homelessness, and this event is just the beginning of our exciting charity partnership with them.”

In addition to sponsorship, Mydeposits’ involvement in this event is part of its ongoing efforts to make a difference through CSR initiatives and its charity partnership with Centrepoint, including the tenant donation scheme, through which mydeposit customers have now donated over £66,000 to Centrepoint since its inception.

In addition to raising awareness, Centrepoint provides direct support to thousands of young people annually, offering safe housing, mental health services, life skills education, and help with employment or educational opportunities. Every contribution helps support Centrepoint’s broader goal to end youth homelessness by 2037.
