Estate agency donates 300 computers to ‘digital poverty’ charity
Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward helps young people to move out of digital poverty with a donation of laptops and desktop computers to Business2Schools.
Estate agency industry player Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) has donated almost 300 units of IT equipment to a charity that aims to improve the infrastructure of state schools.
Business2Schools collects faster computers in the hope of creating more aspirational environments and encouraging young people across the UK to achieve their full potential.
The donated devices, which includes both laptops and desktop computers, will be distributed to schools and community centres across the UK, providing students with the essential tools they need to access education, develop digital skills, and explore career opportunities.
These devices make a significant impact on closing the digital divide.”
Lindsey Parslow, Business2Schools Chief Executive commented: “Business2Schools is thrilled to maintain a long-term partnership with KFH, helping distribute their unwanted tech to schools.
“These devices make a significant impact on closing the digital divide, ensuring they remain part of the circular economy while supporting the education of more children in the classroom. In the technology-driven world we live in, it’s essential that pupils have ample access to digital learning to better prepare them for the future.”
Paul Masters, Group Operations Director at KFH, said: “We are proud to continue to support Business2School. We know that access to technology is crucial, and this donation will help make a positive impact on some of the communities we serve.
“Their work not only improves education but also helps fight climate change, which will further affect the next generation.”
