A senior estate agency figure who has worked within the property industry for 36 years including stints at Northwood, Countrywide and Reeds Rains has set up her own agency.

Linda Taylor has set up her eponymous estate agency in the East Riding of Yorkshire with the backing of the eXp UK cloud-based platform having worked for a variety of different agencies including corporate and independent and both sales, lettings, new homes and property management.

Despite her traditional agency background, Taylor believes that working from offices off the high street is the future, adding that “the classic estate agent business is being eroded now that online and less expensive ways of buying and selling property have come to the fore”, she told Bdaily News.

I will only be looking after a selective portfolio of clients and they will only deal with me, from our initial meeting right through to moving day.”

“I have worked through varying and extremely tough markets and I am eager to help people through the challenges of selling as well as buying.”

Taylor, who is also a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents will be covering Leconfield, Beverley, Driffield, Hull and their surrounding communities as well as all coastal towns and villages beyond.

She hopes her long track record in the area including excellent contacts with solicitors, surveyors and financial service professionals, will help her new business thrive.
eXp UK recently posted its profits, in excess of £200,000, with cash reserves of £700,000 and increased partner count of 350, up 34% compared to last year.

  1. Not really setting up your own agency as your brand is EXP. Basically it’s being a self employed agent of EXP putting your business through them and using their website to gain traffic from the portals. You still will need register your company or self for AML & PI etc.

I explored this as I wanted to re open my sales dept but didn’t want the overheads so I explored EXP, but was informed I would have to shut down my lettings website and bring lettings into the EXP.
I have a very established lettings business that wasn’t a possibility.
