David McCooke

Agency big hitter David McCooke who has worked with some of the biggest residential developers, investors and agents in London, has launched his own development consultancy, McCooke Group.

The new venture will specialise in streamlined land acquisition and sales operations for retained developer clients in London.

The consultancy has been launched alongside McCooke’s existing role with London estate agency Johns & Co where he will remain the firm’s Head of Residential Development and Investment having established the agency’s residential development division in 2020.

STANDALONE

The McCooke Group will act as a standalone consultancy offering complementary services to developer and investor clients, helping them identify and unlock potential development sites across the capital.

David McCooke (main picture) says: “As Head of Residential Development and Investment at Johns & Co I have the privilege of advising on a diverse range of land, new homes and build to rent projects.

“I have gained valuable insight into the major pain points faced by developers in their daily operations. Acquiring viable land is the lifeblood of development, yet deliverable sites are scarce and typically traded off-market.”

DYNAMIC

And he adds: “In the ever-changing and dynamic London market, there is a critical need for consultants with strong networks, relationships, and experience to consistently identify prime sites and present them effectively.

“My objective is to help developers and investors access off-market land through our proprietary acquisitions platform, leveraging our network, relationships and experience.”

McCooke will continue to work with Johns & Co as an independent consultant through his new practice. He is already negotiating off-market transactions in Docklands and Croydon on behalf of his build to rent sector clients.
