Estate agency duo leave Purplebricks to set up hybrid rival

Two friends who worked together at both Countrywide and Purplebricks say the Covid lockdown gave them time to plan their launch.

Two Purplebricks LPEs have left the company and set up their own agency in Wales.

Pete Dykes and Nikki Nieroda-Edwards (pictured above) both worked at the Conwy branch of Countrywide estate agency Beresford Adams before separately joining Purplebricks as LPEs.

Their new sales agency, Enfys Estates, is based at offices within a local industrial park and will cover property markets along the coast from Penmaenmawr to Prestatyn. It has already bagged ten instructions.

The founding duo say their estate agency will be a mixture of the best that high street and hybrid estate agencies offer.

Also, they have been preparing its launch for some time after coming up with the idea during the long lockdown months.

Own agency

Nieroda-Edwards told local newspaper the North Wales Pioneer that: “When we first started working together nearly seven years ago we spoke about having our own estate agency but it was such a huge dream, we never imagined we could actually do it.

“It means so much and it still doesn’t actually feel real. Although it’s been very hard work, we have enjoyed every second – the excitement for it all has taken over.”

The agency’s name, Enfys, means ‘rainbow’ in Welsh. “Having been created during lockdown and being inspired by all those wonderful people that have helped us through it, this is a very small tribute to them,” she says.

“It is a way we wanted to help others during these stressful times.”
