A popular and passionate estate agent in Cheltenham who was still working at 75 years old has died following a short illness.
Philip Pugh, who founded his eponymous estate agency business within the town in 1994, has been described by his daughter as a great family man, having a ‘great sense of humour’ and being ‘very young at heart’.
Pugh worked at many of the town’s well-known estate agent firms before setting up his own business. These included Robert Wilson, Property Kings and C&G Estate Agents.
As well as being a keen musician, his independent estate agency was also the local representative of the Guild of Property Professionals.

A drummer his entire life, he often played gigs in local pubs with his band ‘Over The Hill’, and had only recently stopped performing.
A message on the company’s Facebook page says: “It is with the greatest sadness and devastation that I have to announce that Philip passed away Wednesday evening from a very short illness.
“We are all absolutely grief stricken. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused to our response time.
“As you all will know he was a lovely caring man with a fabulous personality and the biggest heart. The hole he leaves is just to big to define.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up in Pugh’s memory to raise funds for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, and £1,188 has already been donated.
