Fine & Country offices in the West Midlands braved a cold night on 24th November, sleeping out with cardboard and a sleeping bag to protect them from the harsh weather.
This Sleep Out was held in the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral, and is organised by St Basil’s Youth Homeless Charity, which is one of the nine members of End Youth Homelessness’s national campaign.
Fine & Country Banbury, Sutton Coldfield and the Mailbox were joined by hundreds of others for this event, including a cardboard structures competition and entertainment before ‘sleeping bag time.’
Fine & Country offices are open on Saturdays so some Sleep Out participants went straight to work, gaining a small understanding of how difficult it is to sleep rough and be productive during the day – 83,000 young people each year live through this for the whole winter.
