Gareth Wills refused bail for alleged order breaches
Former letting agent had already been given an eight-month sentence, suspended for two years with an order to complete a rehabilitation activity requirement.
Former Falmouth-based lettings director Gareth Wills was refused bail last week and is still behind bars ahead of his trial later this week after allegedly breaching restraining orders imposed by the Crown Court and Magistrates Court.
As previously reported by The Neg, Wills was given a suspended prison sentence after threatening to kill fellow directors in a series of videos.
Wills, a founder of Lewis Haughton Wills based in Cornwall, (main picture) told other directors they must pay him money he believed he was owed.
Following an original trial, he was given an eight-month sentence, suspended for two years with an order to complete rehabilitation and counselling.
He was also made subject of a restraining order preventing him from contacting any Lewis Haughton Wills employee or director, or going to their offices. Wills must pay each victim in the case £500 in compensation.
He was later arrested on September 30 after being accused of breaching a number of orders made by the courts within days of them being made.
CROWN PROSECUTION SERVICE
Wills did not appear at Truro Crown Court.
Opposing bail, Nick Lewin for the Crown Prosecution Service told the court that Wills was made the subject of a suspended sentence order by Truro Crown Court on August 23, when he was sentenced by Judge Linford with a clear message from him that any further breaches of a restraining order that was the subject of those proceedings would result in his remand in custody.
Wills has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is next due to appear at Truro Crown Court on Friday (October 21).
