Property partnership protect the planet

Home-moving clients of leading estate agents, Hamptons, will be able to do their bit for the planet by utilising their home set up service via a partnership with Just Move In.

Customers who choose to use Just Move In will have all their essential home move admin covered while Hamptons will donate any referral fees received from the partnership to the Marine Conservation Society (MCS). The company estimates this will generate a total of £20,000 for the charity over the next financial year.

Just Move In has also pledged to plant a carbon-absorbing Mangrove tree in the name of every customer as well as giving them the option to transfer into a 100% renewable energy plan.

Lesley Cairns, Managing Director at Hamptons, said: “In recent years Hamptons has taken bold steps to protect the environment and the planet we call home. Partnering with Just Move In is the latest in a long line of environmentally pointed initiatives attempting to make moving more eco-friendly.

“Just Move In provides a fantastic service which aims to remove some of the stresses of moving house, but with the added benefit of helping the planet along the way.”

Ross Nichols, Co-founder of Just Move In, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Hamptons to help improve the move experience for their customers. It’s exciting to be partnering with such a recognisable brand, but more importantly, an organisation that shares our passion for sustainability and the environment. Through our joint commitment to reducing home movers emissions and protecting natural habitats, we’ll be able to make a significant positive contribution.”

The Marine Conservation Society is a UK charity campaigning for clean seas and beaches, sustainable fisheries and the protection of wildlife that are critical to our planet’s survival.

Sanjay Mitra, Corporate Partnerships Manager, MCS, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Hamptons and welcome their support for our conservation work. Everyone relies on the ocean to survive, from the air we breathe to the food we eat. By helping people to discover, value and enjoy being connected to our seas, we can all make better decisions today, which will ensure seas full of life for future generations.”
