Hybrid estate agency to give new agents £25,000 start-up cash

Nested, which re-launched itself as a hybrid estate agency recently, says its generous package will help propel the company to the No.1 spot.

Hybrid estate agency Nested says it is taking a different approach to this increasingly popular operational model and that its unusual approach will soon help propel the firm to the top of the industry.

The company started out five years ago as an iBuyer-style agency that offered to buy properties from vendors if they didn’t find a buyer within a predetermined period, pivoting in April this year into a hybrid operation.

Founder Matt Robinson (main pic) says his team has spent the ensuing months testing the model and that the agency now offers a superior package to partner agent than its competitors.

“We are unashamedly gunning for the top spot as the number one supported, self-employed estate agency in the UK,” he says.

Robinson says the existing and ‘flawed’ hybrid sector is small because it fails to offer enough practical and financial support to self-employed agents as they cold-start their businesses.

On their own

He says they are usually on their own financially from the start and aren’t given enough local marketing support; must generate their own leads; are not offered good enough tech; are not offered exclusive geographic territories; and are dragged down with time-consuming admin.

Robinsons says Nested fixes these problem including offering agents a £25,000 start-up support package.

“In providing a proper financial cushion to agents they can go about listing and selling whilst building a business that will see earnings in excess of £100,000 a year and yet still have the flexibility in working hours that we all know is so important now.”

The agency says it is now expanding in London and the South East at the moment and is looking agents with at least five years’ experience.
