Hortons says its revenue growth has been generated by the company's growing list of 19 territories around the UK.

Regional hybrid estate agency Hortons has had a record-breaking quarter, completing 283 transactions worth more than £82 million.

The Leicester-based company is on track to reach £3 million in revenue this year, a 186% increase on 2020, in only its fourth year of trading.

Hortons operates 19 territories in the East Midlands, covering Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, but recently opened a branch in Leamington Spa and is due to launch in Banbury in August.

In May, it secured a new base for its HQ in Leicester as it works towards its target of becoming a national firm.

estate agency hortonFounder Adam Horton (pictured) says: “We’re delighted with our quarterly result and the position it puts us in for the year.

“Our success is a result of our growing team of experienced agents and expansion into new territories. Over the coming years, we’re planning to increase the rate of growth and our aim is to become a national agency within the next five years.”

Hortons has made a string of new appointments in recent months including well-known local estate agents and TV presenter Kerr Drummond, the face of Channel 4’s daytime property show Coast vs Country, who joined as a partner to launch the agency in Warwickshire. The firm has also launched a new website.

Earlier this year, Horton co-founded online mortgage broker Rippled with financial services adviser Daniel Smalley, which has plans to go national once the platform is established in the East Midlands.
