Purplebricks, Boomin and Agents Together co-founder Kenny Bruce has picked up his MBE at a star-studded ceremony at the Waterloo Room of Windsor Castle.

The 48-year-old, who is the younger brother of Michael Bruce, was among last year’s Queen’s Honours List but has now picked it up, accompanied by his brother.

His MBE is for ‘services to charity and the community in Larne, County Antrim’.

Bruce has employed his considerable wealth to finance an astonishing revival at the football team of his family’s home town, Larne in Northern Ireland, although he lives in Hampshire.

This has included cash to buy and develop talent at the club, as well as the construction of a new stand.

Bruce has also played a key role in getting industry charity Agents Together off the ground, which has included conducting mentoring with those who have requested one-to-one advice sessions.

Congratulations

The charity has released a statement, saying: “The whole team at Agents Together want to say a huge congratulations to one of the original founders of Agents Together – Kenny Bruce – as yesterday he collected his MBE.

“For those who really know Kenny it will come as no surprise that he has received this accolade in recognition of the amazing work he has done for his charity Brighter Futures and the town of Larne.

“We are honoured to have his insight and energy at Agents Together.”

Bruce was in starry company at Windsor. Others receiving their awards included interior designer Kelly Hoppen, actor Arinze Kene and Irene Hays, who with her late husband John last year bought the retail shops of rival Thomas Cook following its collapse in 2019, helping preserve thousands of jobs.
