Clive Beattie is stepping down from OnTheMarket (OTM) as chief financial officer to pursue another opportunity which is yet to be confirmed.

Beattie joined the firm in March 2017 and served as interim chief executive for nine months after the shock departure of founding CEO Ian Springett in March 2020, just days before the Covid pandemic struck and prior to the appointment of Jason Tebb.

Sources familiar with the situation believe Beattie will not be heading to a OTM competitor but will be remaining in the sector

Korn Ferry, an organisational consulting firm, have started a formal recruitment process for Beattie’s replacement.

Beattie (main picture), who is staying with OTM as chief financial officer and a board director until the end of January 2023, says: “It has been a great pleasure working with the team at OnTheMarket and experiencing first-hand the evolution of the Group.”

Jason Tebb, OTM chief executive, adds: “I would like to personally thank Clive for his support since I joined the business 18 months ago and for helping to execute our strategy of becoming a tech-enabled property business.”

NEW APPOINTMENT

Elsewhere OTM has appointed Gary Hardy as head of sales to spearhead Teclet’s expansion plans.

Hardy (pictured) has over thirty years of customer service, business development and sales experience in estate agency and prop-tech environments.

Hardy says: “We’re offering agents the mechanism to make some quite significant savings and generate revenue in areas they may not have thought of, don’t have the time to think of, or just don’t have the inclination for at present.”
