Big estate agency ‘totters by’ with cartoon marketing push
Jackson-Stops has partnered with Annie Tempest for a second warm-hearted animated advertising collaboration.

Estate agency Jackson-Stops has unveiled a new advertising campaign with the strapline “Whether country or town, Jackson-Stops is the national estate agent locals recommend” featuring an animated cartoon starring the much-loved Tottering-by-Gently characters created by Annie Tempest for Country Life.
The campaign is the second time they have collaborated. This latest iteration shows Dicky and Daffy Tottering passing each other on trains going in opposite directions – Daffy with her new puppy, Twiglet, heading to the countryside on a steam train while Dicky travels to London on a high-speed service.
Jackson-Stops says, with its quintessentially warm British humour, the animation is designed to appeal to its core client base, who frequently move between city and country properties.
The modern rhythm of life for those navigating between urban hustle and rural calm.”

And, as Nick Leeming, Chairman of Jackson-Stops, explains, the animation captures “the modern rhythm of life for those navigating between urban hustle and rural calm, while once again highlighting Jackson-Stops’ connection between London and the countryside, reinforcing our position as the national estate agents that locals recommend.”
Annie Tempest is best known for her cartoon strip The Yuppies, which ran for seven years in the Daily Mail. Her strip, Tottering-by-Gently, has been appearing in Country Life magazine since 1993.
Already planning next one
She says: “It’s a joy to bring Dicky and Daffy Tottering back in a new animation for Jackson-Stops, this time with a railway twist,” adding that she is “already planning their next outing.”
The advertising campaign launches in September and will run into winter across Jackson-Stops’ social media channels, online advertising, branch windows, print advertising and flyers.
