Property consultant  Michael Day has harnessed his passion for music to write a fabulous new Christmas single to help raise money for Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust.

The original song, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, was recorded at Long Dog studios and produced by Piers Nolan.

I guarantee it will be on everyone’s lips over the weeks ahead!”

When asked about its title, Day explains that he chose it because “I guarantee it will be on everyone’s lips over the weeks ahead!”

Available to download on Bandcamp for a donation of just £2 or more, it is hoped that the song will both raise awareness and significant funds for the two charities.

Day says: “Many people know that I enjoy writing and performing, and I have a number of my original songs recorded and available across the twenty-three streaming channels, including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Deezer, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and others.

“This Christmas song has a message of remembering those who may need help and sharing some joy and kindness at this important time of year.”

Day hopes that people will enjoy the song in its own right, but, more importantly, that they will make a donation to download – the minimum is £2, but there is no maximum! – and that they will also share and encourage family, friends and work colleagues to do likewise.

Money raised shared equally

All monies raised (after Bandcamp platform costs) will be shared equally between Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust.

According to Day: “Both charities are close to my heart – I have been a type one diabetic for over 35 years and have raised around £7500 for Diabetes UK in the last three years.

“I am also a Director and Trustee at The Propertymark Trust, which supports members of Propertymark, their families and employees with hardship grants, educational grants and bursaries.”
