Upmarket estate agency launches auction service following Bamboo deal
The upmarket national agency is giving customers an 'under the hammer' option in a tie-up with London-based Bamboo Auctions.
Jackson-Stops has launched its own online ‘under the hammer’ service in a deal with auction firm Bamboo.
Under the deal, Bamboo will provide the ‘white-label’ technology behind the new ‘J-S Auctions’ offering.
And auction properties will now be marketed across Jackson-Stops’ network of over 40 offices across the UK.
Harness
Nick Leeming, Chairman of Jackson-Stops, says: “Our partnership with Bamboo is yet another example of our ability to harness our years of experience whilst adapting to changing market needs.
“Auctions have the power to attract a diverse pool of motivated buyers who may not have been in a position to buy the property through traditional means, this is particularly true for international buyers.”
Using online auctions, estate agents earn more of their revenue.”
Robin Rathore, CEO at Bamboo Auctions, says: “We’re excited to be working with Jackson-Stops to help them grow their J-S Auctions brand.
“We’ve seen a significant uptake in demand for our online platform technology as agents seek to take back control of their own auction service,” he says.
“Using online auctions, estate agents earn more of their revenue, faster, which in the current market helps to ensure positive cash flow.
Biggest providers
In March, Bamboo announced it was merging with My Auction to form one of the largest online auction providers in the UK.
Rocket Auctions, a newly formed subsidiary of the Bamboo Group, offers estate agents the ability to sell properties by online auction through Bamboo’s technology platform.
Following the merger with My Auction, Bamboo Auctions Group said it would have over 1,100 estate agent partners.
