Young estate agent faces jail after helping father run drugs empire
Nathan Kinnear, aged 23, has been warned by a judge he will be sent to prison for a long time after being caught assisting his father supply drugs worth up to £31.6m.

A 23-year-old estate agent is facing a long prison sentence after admitting his role in the supply of drugs worth millions.
Nathan Kinnear pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiracy to supply cocaine after being caught helping his father in a drugs business worth up to £31.6 million, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Kinnear was recruited by his dad Raymond Kinnear to help in the drugs supply, including booking hotel rooms and providing Sports Direct and Aldi bags, which were used to store the drugs.
Escape window
He was arrested in June last year after trying to escape from the bedroom window of his girlfriend’s house in the Norris Green area of Liverpool.
The keys to an industrial unit on a business park where the drugs were stored, were found in his car.
WhatsApp messages and calls between Kinnear and his dad revealed they had been involved in moving drugs and cash over the previous six months.
A massive haul of 45kg of cocaine was found inside Raymond Kinnear’s car, which had been left inside the industrial unit.
Estate agent
Paul Becker, defending at Liverpool Crown Court, said of Nathan Kinnear: “His school days were not easy, but, in fairness to him, he enrolled at Hugh Baird College in a tiling course and then construction before pursuing surveying at John Moores University, before Covid struck and remote study proved to be a real struggle.
“He went on to train with Summit and worked on a nationwide rail project before he had a nasty chainsaw accident. He retrained and worked as an estate agent until his arrest.
I would ask your honour to give him some hope for the future and not to crush his hopes.”

The case was adjourned until May 27, with Judge Neil Flewitt warning the Kinnears they both faced long custodial sentences.
