‘New model’ estate agency TAUK has revealed its latest high-profile industry joiners including former high flyers from Hunters, Connells, the Lomond Group and Arun Estates.

Jayne Twiddle who for 20 years worked at Hunters latterly as its Operations Director, is the latest to join The Agency UK (TAUK), heading up its operation in York.

Industry legend Harry Hill, who was on the Hunters board until February 2021, worked with Twiddle and says: “I was genuinely delighted to hear that Jayne Twiddle has joined TAUK in York.

“I was for several years the deputy chairman of Hunters prior to its sale to The Property Franchise Group, during which time I was able to see the very valuable and always very professional, substantial contribution that Jayne and her team made to the successful growth of the business.

“I have not the slightest doubt that she, and anyone else that she introduces to work alongside her in York and its environs, will be a great addition to the TAUK team.”

Hill and Purplebricks co-founder Kenny Bruce joined the board of TAUK last year.

Such high-profile heavyweights have helped persuade other senior staffers to join the agency including Kathleen Burden from Connells, Andrew Smirthwaite from Julian Wadden/The Lomond Group and Andy McLaughlin from Arun Estates.

McLaughlin says: “I’d simply had enough of the way high street/corporate agency is heading – number factories and unrealistic pressures”.
