Online estate agent Griffin Property Co has re-launched officially as Emoov after buying the brand and its tech for an undisclosed sum from Mashroom back in May.

Griffin Property Co. is a family-run estate agency that is one of the few success stories in the online sector. Founded in 2000, it went fully online in 2010.

With the acquisition of Emoov Griffin Property Co says it hopes to expand the firm’s market share. It will also enable it to tap into Emoov’s brand equity, technology and resources which it hopes will improve the firm’s customer’s experience, streamline operations, and boost innovation.

Rebranding to Emoov.co.uk reflects our dedication to providing a modern and efficient service.”

Nick Neale (main image), Managing Director at Emoov says: “Rebranding to Emoov.co.uk reflects our dedication to providing a modern and efficient service in the competitive online estate agency market.

“While our name has changed, our core values remain the same. We continue to operate as a small family business, focused on building lasting relationships with our clients.”

Family business

As part of the rebrand, Emoov has updated its packages and sellers will be able to market their property on all major UK portals from £295 in advance or £795 on a no-sale, no-fee basis. Lettings packages start from £39.50.

The original Emoov was founded in 2010 by Russell Quirk and was once the UK’s second-largest online estate agency. In late 2018 it went into voluntary administration and was then acquired by Mashroom for £232,500.

Despite yet more investment and a new offering, it failed to take off. As was reported in The Neg, Mashroom then pivoted its business to become a lead generation platform for agents and sold Emoov to Griffin Property Co.
