Leaders Romans Group (LRG) has bought established single-branch Dartford-based agency GPS Lettings.

LRG says it is ‘another significant milestone’ in its ongoing expansion strategy, which will enhance its presence in the Dartford rental market.

GPS Lettings was established in 2003 by Mike O’Brien and Debbie Jones. Over the last twenty years, they have built a well-respected lettings-only business which focuses on serving the local community.

Moving forward, GPS will operate under the Acorn brand, a 2022 LRG acquisition, from their nearby premises in Dartford.

The transition will involve all current GPS staff, ensuring a smooth handover and continuity of service.

While the founders will support the transition, they will step down once it’s complete.

Matt Light, Group Mergers and Acquisitions Director at LRG, commented: “This is our fourth acquisition in the last two months, with a growing pipeline of further deals set to close in the coming quarter.

Acquiring GPS Lettings strengthens our market share in Dartford.”

“Acquiring GPS Lettings strengthens our market share in Dartford and supports LRG’s wider goal of reinforcing our presence in key regional markets.”

Outgoing owner, Debbie Jones, commented: “We’ve built GPS Lettings on a foundation of local knowledge, trust, and customer service.

“Now, with the backing of LRG and Acorn, we are confident that our clients will benefit from an expanded range of services, resources, and expertise.”

GPS Lettings Limited has two directors, O’Briend and Jones although a third person, Gillian O’Brien, also holds approximately a third of the company’s share stock.
