LRG ‘firmly back on acquisition trail’ following latest deal
The big corporate estate agency says more acquisitions will be announced this year as its strives to gain market share by buying up independents.

Leaders Romans Group (LRG) is ‘firmly back on the acquisition trail’ after a pause, revealing its fourth deal this year.
It has acquired Dragonfly Lettings, one of Norwich’s better-known property firms with a substantial lettings book. Its operations are to be absorbed into the two leaders branches within the city.

Matthew Light, Group Mergers and Acquisitions Director at LRG, says the purchase of Dragonfly Lettings is the first in a series of acquisitions over the coming weeks and months.
Other deals done this year include the acquisition of Stirling Ackroyd, Alexander & Co, and Peter Ball.
Dragonfly was established in 2017 when MD Glen Hammond merged the lettings portfolios of HammondLee and Stratfords of Eaton Ltd. The sales operation carried on under a single company, Hammond & Stratford, which is unaffected by the LRG deal.
Although he is now exiting the Dragonfly business, all of Hammond’s former colleagues are to be transferred to LRG.
Professional journey
“Dragonfly Lettings has been a significant part of my professional journey,” says Hammond. “The decision to join LRG was made with the confidence that our clients and team will benefit from the extensive resources and support that it offers.”
LRG says this acquisition is part of an ongoing strategy to grow its lettings portfolio and strengthen its market position across the UK.
Light adds: The acquisition of Dragonfly Lettings is the first of a series of acquisitions over the coming weeks and months. This move increases our already strong lettings presence and market share in the Norwich area.”
