Viewber has climbed to No. 4 in Newsweek’s 'The UK’s Most Loved Workplaces' in 2024 despite most working from home.
Viewber’s chief people officer Kate Campbell-Balcombe has announced that the property listing specialist has reached No.4 in Newsweek’s The Most Loved Workplaces in the UK 2024 list.
That makes it the property industry’s top performer, with only two others in the top 100 and the nearest, property management company Mapp 19 places below.
Campbell says she is thrilled by the news and says: “Moving up from 48th place last year is a fantastic achievement, and it’s all thanks to the dedication, hard work, and heart of our incredible remote team.”
Co-founder and former agent Ed Mead is equally enthused, saying: “Good to see a property company where we are,” adding, “even more given the fact that we have always been a WFH business with no office.
It does show that you can build a culture that’s vibrant and inclusive whilst all working from home.”
“It does show that you can build a culture that’s vibrant and inclusive whilst all working from home and, if done correctly, surely is a poke in the eye for those who say you have to have an office and use it.”
His joy is, though, tempered by the NI hit in the budget, and he is particularly incensed by the tax rise’s modest tag, saying: “This ‘modest’ increase is going to cost us the equivalent of TWO salaries every year.
“Many other companies will face the same dilemma. Not affecting workers? – what a joke.
“You’ve got to ask – has anyone in this Government ever run, or started, a private enterprise business? I suspect not and it showed on Tuesday.”
Viewber provides viewings, inspections and marketing services to the property industry.
